BEAT YOUR STRESS

Do you feel your mind is going to explode because you are too tied up? Find out how to beat it.

"It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to, has power over you, if you allow it."

Hello everyone. I'm here to share a few ideas about something we face everyday and being in the senior and high schools, we face a lot of them and that's called STRESS.

You get stressed up when you have to write a ten-page paper by Monday and you haven't even started researches yet. You have to manage your weekly tests, homework, weekend worksheets and assignments, the one which you have no idea in what has to be done. You have to hurry down with your books and concentration along with your teachers in the race of portion completion so as to revise those subjects later for the final exam. Most of all, you have to manage your distraction level. On the whole, you are frustrated and they increase your stress levels and that’s why David Allen said that "Much of the stress that people feel doesn't come from having too much to do. It comes from not finishing what they've started."

As human beings or rather as teens, we do face a lot of problems, distractions, we have our own uncertainties, our own dreams, and wishes, our own anxieties, which is normal. But how does it lead to stress? Stress is all about being 'here' when you want to be 'there' and what do I mean by that? It means you are physically standing in a position but mentally you want to be somewhere else. Being emotionally and mentally disturbed eventually leads to stress. As we are compacted into a systematic schedule of life, the anger, worryagonyrage, irritationfrustration, distress within us stay there as in a nutshell and that's how you end stressed up.

In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers. It's always best to keep busy, to plow your anger and your energy into something positive.

Take a walk, watch the sky, and get relaxed. Do you feel bored of doing the same thing? Okay, take your car/motorcycle, go for a ride, stretch your hands, feel the breeze that's beating against you, break your nutshell and let your stress evaporate from your spirits into the air and let pure air occupy your soul, for Stress is just a weed that has to be removed at the right time.

"Stress is the demon in our society, Stalking the cities and the countrysides, Striking down young and old and growing in strength daily."

So if you ask me what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say, it is avoiding stress, worry, and tension. And if you didn't ask me, I'd still have to say it because I feel that's the thing we are lacking behind.

Thank You! :)

Regards,

Shreya Gopal
